Born on the 3rd of July1981 in italy , Marcello grew up with music . Talking Heads , James Brown, Esg, a lot of jazz Brian Eno’s compilation – “ New York Noise “ and house and techno from Chicago , Detroit and New York ; in particular Kerri Chandler, Chez Damier, Ron Trent and the all Prescription sound.
The 12th of January 2007 saw his work being published on Radiance collective and a three tracks ep titled Marcello Napoletano Presents “Unable to Work” , was released and it got played in clubs across the south of Italy. After The death of Ilario Corsano a dj and a friend I.F.M. was formed in his honour alongside Fra-Mela with forthcoming releases on Mathematics , Uzuri Recordings & Unified Records & Drumpoet.
The end of 2008 saw an ep by Marcello being released on Chicago’s Unified Records . 2009 saw the release of “ A prescription Of Love Ep “ on the much revered Mathematics , Jamal Moss’s label operating from Chicago .
Mathematics will soon be releasing “Space Voodoo” marcello’s debut album & “On the Road” ; a track by Marcello , will appear on Uzuri Recording’s mini comp , alongside tracks by Lawrence , Anton Zap & new talent also from Italy; Joe Drive. His dj sets are a mixture of 90′ Chicago deep underground and New York garage and beyond .
